LMFAO! I...um... AM that guy. COMPAC. (ducking tomatoes here) Since getting an earful over here, I went back to drawing (I CAN draw actually, just didn't have the confidence to draw established characters like Evangelion). So I studied...alot. Here I am with my own art.

Dude, seriously, this looks MUCH better than the copypasta.
Keep up the good work.
A recommendation: do pencil sketches before inking lines, if you're not already doing so, and keep the pictures large on paper, so you can keep the lines thin and clean, without getting them too sketchy.

I'm at a point where I'm actually making a transition again, going from Sadamoto's model to my own designs. OP is a Sadamoto imitation.

While the common misconception is that all doujins are nothing but viscous fluids and graphic sex, sme of them actually go the other way and use those scenes tastefully; if you want to see more about those you should take a look at the artwork of circle's Monkey Taste (particularly this one, IMO), Pengel and Peppy Angel/Rin/Cherry.
Also, as one of the original critics about your plan to re-use Sadamoto artwork, I feel personally this is a better choice; your artwork is not bad; in fact, it reminds me of some doujin artist but I can't remember the circle.
Bottom line; keep up the good work.
